About Doof / SpatialTones

I've been making music for more than 20 years. I started playing saxophone around 2004-2005 and played throughout high school in marching band, concert band, pep band, and pit band. In college, I continued in wind ensemble and saxophone quartet. That background gave me a long-running appreciation for arrangement, dynamics, timing, tone, and the small details that make a performance feel alive.

In 2013, I started producing beats in Ableton Live 9. By 2014, I was tracking, mixing, and mastering vocal projects for artists around Youngstown, Ohio, while also taking on remote work for artists across the country and internationally.

At the end of 2017, I moved to Akron, Ohio and continued working with artists both locally and online. Over the years, I've had the chance to work across a wide range of music: hip-hop, R&B, pop, dubstep, drum and bass, house, and more. I have worked on thousands of songs with hundreds of different artists, and I take a lot of pride in helping each project feel like the strongest version of itself.

I started using Pro Tools in 2023 for tracking, mixing, and mastering, alongside the production workflow I had already built in Ableton. Both tools play a role in how I work today, whether I am building from a session, cleaning up vocals, tightening a mix, or bringing a finished record across the line with mastering.

In May 2025, I launched SpatialTones as a more user-friendly home for my remote mixing and mastering work. At first, the site was mainly a place to showcase my portfolio and give prospective artists and brands a clear way to view pricing. Since then, it has grown into a more complete project hub: clients can upload files, handle invoices, manage projects through their account, compare active versions, and send revision notes through the interactive deliverables player.

My goal is always excellent results, clear communication, and a process that makes it easy to move your music forward. Whether you are sending a full project for mixing and mastering, a group of stems, or a finished stereo mix for final polish, I want the end result to feel focused, powerful, and true to your sound.
